How the e-Visa portal processes personal data in line with Albania’s framework on the protection of individuals with regard to personal data processing.
Personal data submitted through the e-Visa application are processed by the competent authorities of the Republic of Albania, primarily the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and consular posts, for visa examination and border-related purposes.
Data may include identity and travel document details, contact information, biographical data, travel plans, employment or invitation references, and uploaded supporting documents (e.g. scans of passport, photos, financial or accommodation proof).
Processing is based on the performance of a public task (visa decision) and compliance with legal obligations. Data are kept only as long as necessary for the visa procedure, appeals, statistics, and archiving rules defined by law.
